ITHACA, N.Y. Junior Valerie Vancol (Merrick/Sanford H. Calhoun) won the shot put and was one of three Cortland athletes to register ECAC-qualifying performances at the Cornell University Southern Tier Collegiate Open. The meet featured Div. I schools Cornell, Binghamton and Canisius and Div. II Mansfield among its competitors. There was no team scoring.
